Magnum Force is a 1973 American neo-noir action-thriller film and the sequel to the 1971 film Dirty Harry. Directed by Ted Post, the film stars Clint Eastwood who reprises the lead role as maverick cop Harry Callahan, with Hal Holbrook and Mitchell Ryan co-starring. The film also features early appearances by David Soul, Tim Matheson, and Robert Urich. Its screenplay was written by John Milius and Michael Cimino, and Lalo Schifrin returned to compose the film’s score.
