Frozen 3 (stylized as Frozen III) is an upcoming American animated musical fantasy film written and directed by Jennifer Lee. Produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, it is the third feature film in the Frozen franchise, following the 2019 film. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff will reprise their roles from the previous films. Development on a third Frozen film was announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger in February 2023, though Lee initially stated in June that she would not return to direct. Lee eventually decided to write and direct the film in September 2024, with the returning cast being announced in November 2025. Frozen 3 is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 24, 2027.
